A Luxury Spanish Oasis in Phuket

Magdalena Martorell started her career in Spain with the distinctly Spanish Hotel Group Melia, and over 20 years later, she is still with them and opened the luxury five-star resort property, Melia Phuket at the end of last year.

She is a woman passionate about luxury hotels and equally consumed by her love of wellness and seeing guests leave happier and more relaxed than when they arrive.

Renae spoke to her in Phuket, where she was putting the final touches on various wellness aspects of Melia Phuket Mai Khao, the 100 room hotel with 30 suites and 70 rooms. Meditteranean in style, the luxury hotel is modern and light filled and rooms are super spacious, modern and elegant.

The luxury property rolls out onto a huge swimming pool, green lawns, and trees leading to the secluded Mai Khao beach.
