When I first saw the trailer for corsair I thought the mermaid form was her awaken, now this... Going from the queen of the sea to acrobatic pirate companion.. This looks like what her succession should be

We will see. I feel like they sorta lost focus on what they wanted this class to be. The mermaid thing is so underplayed with this class it's almost a gimmic. At the very least give us perma mermaid form in the ocean.

On the one hand, they have a gun and the awakening looks fun.

On the other hand, it feels like the succession and awakening are reversed.

Took attention to the story. Also I was into fantasy like mermaids and dragons until this year I gotten to like warships. This mermaid-to-pirate captain played out so well: From myths to modernization. From sea to land like evolution.

Corsair's SUCC/AWK quest feels very like a story, love the execution to it despite how funny to have otter crewmates. The Black Market guy, Patrigio, is her father, he was in love with the mermaid who was her mother. This makes her half-human. Since Patrigio is also a Crow merchant, Crows Guild known to be at sea a lot so Corsair have been influenced with ships and buccaneering. So she played a pirate, lived independently and found otters as crewmates as a kind heart. The design of the class is oddly backwards, I know, but it's unique. Similar to the Little Mermaid where she wished to be on land with one she loves, eventually to gain legs and lose her voice.
What more of the complaints anyway? This is pretty impressive.

honestly i ws not that impressed, wish they had stuck to the Mermaid theme...they cud have done so much more n been far more creative that way. so odd for me t see an awakening trailer n not be excited at all, n worse cos i had already decided on leaving my corsair as my main on my alt account n now i feel like i wud rather switch back t my succ kuno for main on that account. was not terrible. but i honestly expected more....still i will give it a try on release n see.

The weapon was suppose to be a harpoon and a sword yet this entire trailer is her shooting a gun ._.

Everyone got their opinions and I respect it. But please can we all appreciate this? some says it's not good for them, but if PA releases a powerful awakening you all complain about it and want a revamp. PA makes it more unique rather than doing it almost same as other MMORPG games that you expect and you like. This happens every time PA releases new char.

Sorry PA, but right now youre suffering from success. Succession Corsair was dynamic, fluid. The colors and theme are amazing, the skill effects with the mermaid form are top quality. No form of awakening you guys had developed would top that. I'm sure a lot of us agree that the combat in this video would be more fitting for succession and the bright water splash with mermaid form should've been awakening. Why? Because it would also make more sense lore-wise. She was the captain of the Scallywags before finding the heirloom. Here you see her fighting with her Queeking-fish-obssesed companions. You didn't even have to change the trailer and the ending where she is transformed and briefly looks back, it would've been amazing to keep playeres hooked up with speculations of awakening xD
