Not a Christian by a longshot but I watch your channel pretty actively. It's just great to have non stop factual cited information.
Keep your work up! This one was amazing

Been coming back to Christianity lately, mostly exploring reformed and orthodox. These Anabaptist types sound like the kind of thinking I most align with, I didn't know a more modern universal flavour existed!

The Brethren sound like they're in agreement with most mainstream Evangelicals. I never knew this much about them, I always just assumed they were similar to the Amish.

Nice video! I have been to a United Brethren Church a number of times for mental health counseling.

My great grandfather was a member of that Church.

Seems like quite the relaxed denomination. Anyone know if they are growing or shrinking?

As someone who is very anabaptist, but can't become amish because of ethnicity, these guys sound awesome.

Otterbein University in Westerville Ohio (near Columbus). It was founded in 1847 by United Brethren in Christ. The univeristy still exists but it was taken over by the Methodist church in 1968.

This is cool! There's a 1968 offshoot of this church called "The Evangelical Church" represented by the Pacific Conference. Might be worth a look if you haven't done a video on them yet!

EDIT : My bad, you totally mentioned them! Awesome!

This is a beautiful video, well-researched and balanced. Thank you.

Just one correction: Martin Boehm's last name is correctly pronounced Bame with a long a.

Just some trivia: Bishop Milton Wright was the father of Wilbur and Orville. Francis Scott Key was also a member.

My grandfather was a United Brethren pastor. This was in the 1930’s to 1963’s when he passed.

The confession at 2:44 reminds me of the Apostles and Nicene Creeds.

I worked at Huntington College (now University) for two years. Interesting church, and they held many positions I could agree with, but there were a few individuals who overstepped their authority over other less powerful members, so I decided not to stay with them.
