Snowrunner Phase 7 update, New Trucks, New Racing Events & Everything else

A new Snowrunner Phase 7 update is out on PTS 17.0 and This new upcomming DLC will introduced Racing in Snowrunner. There're new vehicles, new racing events in a brand new map and lots of new features which will be shown in this video.

I agree on the physics not being good for racing in this game. Tried the map mod "Highway Hauling" and even though it looks beautiful it just doesn't feel good driving more than 60Km/h in this game, sliding left right and center... Also there's this shift spam that I can use to gain acceleration by spamming the gear shift which doesn't make sense

This looks like A LOT of FUN!!! I can’t wait to race all my trucks around the courses BUT Please please please make these contest playable as single player with a time trial function.

I'm all for new ideas in this game but again we're getting DLC vehicles that mostly fit a niche role. Unless changes are made the Azov is gonna end up like the Cat TH357 and 770G, only able to do pretty much 1 thing and have no use after that

I really hope they will add some people/fans around the map/track, because right now the map feel so lonely and creepy in the same time, because you can hear the crowd but there's no crowd to be seen 😱

Being from Tennessee I can say, IT REMINDS ME OF HOME. Even though the foliage doesn't match up at all, if they wanted it accurate to Tennessee they should've went to Windrock for inspiration

Whats the point of having a truck that has, no add ons, no trailer support, gets stuck in mud with its special tires, has average performance and is incapable of using the race track when in singleplayer?

Not sure about this update yet. Will reserve full judgement until release. It's good to see them trying new directions but not sure this is it. Let's see.

So many people now make videos for snow runner updates. But for me I never know truly what the update has until you make the video great works and thanks again, I now know what the season holds

I like the racing update as the Dakar rally is my favourite motorsport in the world. I would like to see it all be available in single player tho. Logistical challenges such as towing the race trucks to events or building event pitstop locations would be cool.

The racing and contests seem interesting and definitely something completely new for the franchise. If they were available as a Time Trial in Singleplayer it would be really cool, even though it's not a direct competition with opponents Time Attack is still pretty intense when you're trying to shave off those vital milliseconds.

This will probably be the least interesting update for me. I prefer the Logistics hauling aspect of this game, and going fast is something i like to avoid due to some incidents on previous maps.

I hope that if the contests stay co-op only, that they won't count towards the region percentage or are counted separately so that single player people don't have to go co-op unwillingly just to get 100% (or when the servers get shut down, and you can't do those contests anymore).

I'll probably only touch it for upgrades if there are any, and come back when i have enough of Armur

I'm really excited for the Gor BY4, I love cars with air cooled engines or motors (if electric).

With the Race Truck I hope the next game will be a Desert Runner game.

I love the idea but i'm kinda dissapointed honestly, the vehicles are cool but will be redundant anywhere other than on this one map, the truck and even the scout are hugely outperformed by anything else in the game and since the game as pretty much everything in it built for tasks and such then these "racing" vehicles will be pretty much useless, but i guess we'll have to wait and see what the tasks and mission will be, maybe there's alot of things that uses them.
Another thing and the thing i'm most dissapointed in are the regions, for the past few seasons(mostly all of them) none did as good a job as the base game regions did, most season pack regions had like 1 or 2 maps each compared to Michigan which had 4, basically it feels like the DLCs are underperforming and i wish there were more maps and tasks and such in the seasons, probably just a personal nitpick i guess but still.

Thanks for all the new update info, I'm not sure ideally like the whole race based part because I liked snowrunner as it was. That said, it is something new for snowrunners who like race games too. I agree that it should be optional for the races to be done with others or solo as well.
