I don’t think you need the drip stone blocks to make the lava farm. The pointed drip stone will still drip lava with any block above it if I’m not mistaken.

Wattles has really influenced how I play the game with the cow crusher.

The cow crusher is the first farm I ever built and one of my go to farms I use in every survival world. I apply it to sheep and pigs too. I’ve tried applying it to chickens and rabbits too. Chickens are messy but they technically work, I end up just farming them from the eggs though. Rabbits are too small for the crusher design to work and I have to farm them separately.

But I’ve used that design very effectively to survive in my world early game. I’ve even experimented with building multiple interconnected crushes and building a crusher for every color of wool.

I’ve also experimented a lot with the aesthetic, using different stone wood and terracotta blocks to build it, and occasionally switching out the fence post for a wall. Plus the lantern or the torch on top of the fence post or wall.

Lol, that is hilarious! I made a new world for this update and literally did the lava drip stone like day three. I spawned by one of the biggest drip stone biomes I've ever seen!!!!

I just built the cow crusher in my world and I'm only able to feed 2 cows. It doesn't matter how much wheat I have for them or if I move around the top so the cows face different directions. It's almost like I can only reach 2 or there are only 2 cows in the crusher. I have destroyed and rebuilt the farm twice now, which has been fun because there aren't many cows near where I live.

Also the cauldron trick works with water. I have 2 of each in my house. 2 lava, 2 water. Just don't put the lava close to wood walls or wooden ceiling.

They also added a toggle in 1.20 that allows for infinite lava sources the same way you would do infinite water sources. Just in case you don't want to wait for a cauldron or go to the Nether.

For the bamboo farm you would of needed a hopper minecart for they can pick stuff up through full blocks whilst a normal hopper can only pick up from around half a block above

Very easy lava farm: you need 10 Obsidian build a nether Portal und here you have infinity lava.

You don't even need a dripstone block for the lava. Any non flammable block with dripstone on it will work

Has the good old automatic sugar cane farm gone out of fashion or something? Why is it so rarely mentioned? Paper has so many uses, bookshelves, maps, trading, enchantments... Just because bamboo has been made OP doesn't mean you shouldn't build a similar one for sugar cane.
