✏️ My Thoughts:
So if you want to master the Marriott hotels for rooms that get upgraded to suites, access to the Marriott hotel lounges or even just travel a few times a year and want to get the most from the money you’re going to spend… this is the video for you.

Marriott Bonvoy has four co-branded credit cards that you can apply for and one secret card that you can’t - but I’ll show you how to get it. I'll explain how each card gets more benefits as you progress into higher annual fees and for each I'll talk about the rewards each card provides, the benefits they offer, and exactly the type of person that is the best fit for that card.

In this video, I’m going to help you cut through the noise and figure out if there’s a Marriott credit card for you. Let’s dive in!

One thing I keep in mind when choosing which credit card to pay for a room is that I get the 10x and the elite tier 1x or 2.5x when I book directly with Marriott regardless of the card I use. Sometimes my other bank card will have a cash back offer that exceeds the 6x additional points for using the Marriott card.

currently have a United Airlines Chase Explorer Mileage Plus card. Thinking about closing it and getting the Marriott version instead. Thinking about going with the Bonvoy Boundless as well. Feel like getting hotel points go a longer way than airline mileage does

The Priority Pass membership is effectively worthless inside the continental U.S. So many lounges are full nowadays that I regularly see signs stating Priority Pass members are not being allowed inside. I even see signs at airline lounges saying they won't accept day passes from their own companies - e.g., United Club lounges saying they won't accept passengers with United Club day passes. Lounges will also implement hours restrictions on Priority Pass members - i.e., PP members are only allowed in the lounge during certain periods of the day.

0.7 cpp is a really optimistic valuation for Marriott points, in my experience. I personally value them at about 0.3 CPP based on real-world redemptions and real-value calculation.

Great video! I would add the AMEX Bonvoy Business Card to start elite nights between 30-40 depending on which card you stack with the business.

I recently read that there is no fee for AUs on the ritz Carlton card. I have a family of four, so am strongly considering going this route, especially if a sapphire lounge ever opens at my home airport.

In January I will product change to get my 2nd Ritz-Carlton card. P2 and I each have the Amex Business Marriott and the Chase Boundless.

My wife and i have the Marriott Bonvoy Bountiful. It suits our family well. I all ready had the Chase Freedom Unlimited and Flex. We were thinking about adding the Chase Sapphire Preferred as it has some categories we think would help it compliment our Bountiful card. Still on the fence though about it. Any thoughts?

Great video! I have the Bonvoy Brilliant AMEX but am considering dropping it. While I make use of the $300 annual dining credit the "free night" benefit has been elusive. In 2024 I booked several Marriott room nights in the US, Canada, and Europe. Only one hotel in Paris offered the free night. Is there any way someone can be aware of free nights availability at Marriott hotels BEFORE making reservations?

I'm planning to product change my Boundless card to the Ritz Carlton card in April, and sometime this year I'm going to add the Marriott business card. That will make it a lot easier to get platinum status.

Been platinum for 3 years. Never got upgraded to suites even apply nightly awards. At the end of the year, still have a few left. Sucks. Back to Hilton

Can you still do a product exchange if the bonvoy is an Amex?

If you have multiple Marriott credit cards, do you need multiple Bonvoy profiles or can you use your single profile connected to all the different credit cards?

I don’t spend that much money on credit cards. However, work sent me out enough times the past 2 years to have enough nights to be a lifetime member. So, I’m just doing it for the status. $0 annual for me
