Big Lots expects to close between 35 and 40 stores this year, according to a U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) filing from the company last month. Company leaders said inflation and their inability to compete under economic pressures have led to a substantial doubt in their ability to continue.

Twenty years ago I enjoyed Big Lots. They carried lots of interesting Christmas decorations not seen at other competitors stores. Nice gifts like unique table lamps and other one of a kind items. But then as got more and more into being a strictly home decor store I lost interest. They should go back to being unique again. Home decor stores are everywhere already and we don't need another.
