Installing Berkey Stainless Steel Spigot

A customer asked me to create a video showing the inside of the Berkey while installing the Berkey stainless steel spigot.

If you have a Berkey water filter system you should consider this accessory as it’s more durable than the BPA-free standard spigot and it looks a lot better too!

Thought it was that way but nice to know it for sure. Didn't have it tight enough as I was afraid of tightening it too much. Apparently the spigot is made to move though, but it doesn't leak now. Thanks

Guess what?! NOWHERE online can I find instructions on how to clean a Berkey stainless steel spigot! I got the hot soapy water part but if there’s scale that’s built up on the spigot isn’t there a way to clean it with vinegar somehow? A good video on thoroughly cleaning the stainless steel spigot would be great to have!

Does the spigot wiggle just a bit when on? Mine still does and I have replaced 2 times.

I finally put on my new spigot. Someone from Berkey needs to know the stickers on the washers are almost impossible to get off. I needed to soak them in alcohol for a bit, and even then, it took another 20 mins.

I got the black spigot and the white washers are flat with no curve. I followed directions for installation but it won't work. Filters are working fine. Help!

Hint: remove the hex nut prior to placing the first washers on . 😅

After the water has been filtered and is sitting in the container, the container has an odor. The water taste clean but the container has a smell. I have washed it several times but still have the order. Is that normal?

I did not receive a cover or a tapered washer. Just spigot, and washers w plastic one...🧐

EDIT: *my" hands didn't get it tight enough, but after cleaning & using the pliers I got it tight enough.
