Ok Steve-O the salon master. I analyzed and watched every single video you made ever. Going ALL THE WAY back to you first baby steps. I knew exactly what to ask my stylist. I told him with very fine detail. It took like an hour and a half to explain.

After I was done explaining and referencing the each video with time stamps organized by your facial hair length in each video, the guy said, “Sir, this is Carl’s Jr. “

You should make a complete lesson of every concepts for understanding a haircut like every hair types with pictures, hairlines, different basic cuts to be able to ask something that the barber can understand like low fade… + haircut to suit your type/symmetry of face. All in one compact video without losing too much time for explanation.

7:17 Exactly. I show them a picture or explained for 10 minutes and the barbers grab the 1 guard and buzz it off. When I said I wanted to grow my hair out. This barbershop did it to me like 3 times in a row before I stopped going. So hilarious. Right try to find someone on social media

That's why I am now cutting my hair myself, thanks to the SALON GUY - since having invested all the time and effort (one would need to acquire all the technical knowledge first) - in order to just EXPLAIN all that to a regular barber, one WILL inevitably become more qualified (than the regular barber) to do a decent haircut (for) himself at the end )))

Thank you for giving these tips. Last haircut I had completely unevenly cut the above the ear fade. I told my regular stylist it was an important cut as I’m going to vacation in Palm Springs. I wear glasses, so if this isn’t done well, the hair sticks out from the frames. She’s always had a problem with this. Before she worked on the ears, she had someone come in wanting to buy gift certificates so she rushed my cut and was a 1/4 inch difference on the ears! I was self-conscious about it the whole vacation. I will never go back to her again.

Generally a stylists will take of way more than you probably want when dealing with guys. Not sure why but they want to take it way down!!! So if you just want a trim be specific with how much. Don't use terms like an inch or so....because their version of an inch is not your version im sure. Generally using the same stylists removes the guesswork but guys don't often do that. Personally I just get whoever is available so I've become an expert at laying down exactly what I want. Oddly some stylists get very annoyed and take it personally when I explain in detail what I want. You know....so what!!! It's my hair, I'm paying and tipping you and you need to do what I'm paying for. End of story.
