I have been listening to Mogwai since "The Fountain" OST (2006). I can't say that it's a "every day band" for me, but I come to them when I am exhausted, confused, failing in an endless loop of self-reflection, and somehow they always help me to figure the way to escape from that state. You may call that whatever you want, but I definitely feel that I drift in the same flow/direction with the guys. Thanks, KEXP, you are doing great job by introducing great music to people :heart:

Saw their first real gig in front of an audience in twenty months three days ago, outdoors by the sea in the south of France and I was mesmerized. One of the most purely beautiful gigs I've seen in nearly 43 years of concert going.

i fucking dunno what it is everytime i click on a mogwai video, i only know it sets me on a ride right from the first note, a journey of pure enjoyment, happiness and overwhelming feelings. it hits that one tiny sport in me where everything can happen. what always happens is, i fucking cry, with the biggest smile on my face. there is only one other band that manages this, NIN. mogwai transcents. they are the pink floyd of the 21th century. the only thing i wish on my last day on this planet, that my people and friends, go to my favourite place here, setup a few speakers and do nothing else then play mogwai the whole day, beginning and ending it with "fear satan"
