(I'm flying to Ireland for my annual harp workshop in less than two weeks. I have been going there since 2004, but had three years break bc of the plague. Can't wait!)

The heater in my manufactured home works fine, but I haven't used it in years because the ductwork under the house is falling apart rubbish... To keep cold air from entering in the winter, I've used folded bits of cardboard to close the openings under the vents. Replacing the ductwork is on the list; just not a priority.
You two are making grand progress!

It's coming along really well Tara, and looks so much better! I hope it makes the journey okay. No possibility of reinforcing that beam before moving it? I love Dave's "It went half well"... hahahahaha. That's a good man... Too bad the couch is in rough shape. It looks very 30's or 40's - maybe you can lean into that, and cover it all at once - would be cheaper, especially if you don't think it will last. All very exciting... especially the preparation of the site! Tara and Dave's Love Shack... it isn't great, but it's water hahahahaha!

I'm considering the pros/cons of doing the same myself after seeing it. Only thing really holding me back is the longer drive to work after once we're down there with the bump in fuel costs. 😅

Grand job Tara & David 👍!! You might consider maybe just replacing the wee couch as the cost of upholstery fabric & good rigid foam is costly and time consuming. Do you have second hand shops your way as you might find something at a reasonable price? I am looking forward to part 2. All the best with moving the caravan 🤞😊!

Ime if you've got a stove it's easy enough keep a mobile cozy in the winter, and you're really gonna need all the ventilation for the damp and mould in Leitrim 😬
