La Nina, the phenomenon that brings wetter weather over Southeast Asia, is now more likely to emerge at the end of the year. This is according to the latest update from the World Meteorological Organization. Dr Dhrubajyoti Samanta, Senior Research Fellow at NTU’s Earth Observatory of Singapore, shares some factors that might influence the probability of La Nina happening and how Singapore could be affected.
