This country has done a lot over the years the people should take pride in the recognition that the world gives them in terms of freedom, equality, economic performance, and transparency. If the people get to focus on these positive aspects and demand more of them, Botswana will be unparalleled in ratings.

How can this Botswana model be applied to larger more ethnically diverse African countries like Nigeria or DR Congo?

Democracy, peace, free enterprise and rule of law made Botswana what she is. I hope the misleading and negative politics doesn't destroy this promising country. Blame game politics that embitter people and ask them to focus on each other rather than politics of competing solutions to real problems for common good is rearing its ugly head here, pushed by people with no policy to talk of yet portraying themselves as new messiahs out to save people they preach this negativity to. These politicians deny all positive facts about this country, even those very obvious for all to see. They make false promise that somehow government can take individuals by hand through life! I hope people wise up to this deception and realize that other promising countries were destroyed in the same way on this continent.

Botswana is an African success story, but with so much economic growth, how come there are so many unemployed? Also, inequality seems to be one of the highest in the world. I'd like to hear what people from Botswana have to say about this.
