Let's look at how we're trying to do good things... but in a bad way (and so we get a bad result).

Im learning. 65 years old and i still struggle with habitual sin of 6th commandment. I have caused a lot of grief and and heartache over the years. This gives me a bit of perspective of what to do.

Fr. Mark-Mary, this is the first time I have ever had anyone explain our sin by looking upon it as a root cause of our seeking an ultimate good. When reflecting upon my sin I am able to see the wisdom of such an approach to seek a remedy. St. Thomas Aquinas looks at sin in a very merciful way. Not by focusing upon the bad but rather focusing on the good which undergirds many of the sins we commit. It also helps us to do a proper examination of conscience. Thank you for this episode.
