This album holds a special place in my heart. Not only is it a masterpiece, it was released on the same day my first son was born. Because of COVID, they wouldn’t let me in the hospital for the first 5 hours of my wife’s labour because they didn’t have enough rooms to admit her. I sat in my car nervous, excited and angry all at the same time. I listened to this album on repeat until my wife got a room and they let me in. Thank you Deftones for consistently getting me through some of the biggest challenges in my life.

White Pony came out 2 months before my mom died. Ohms came out 4 months after I became a mother to my first daughter. My whole life I have been in a constant cycle of abuse from my alcoholic mother that I've finally started to notice it and break it the past few years. It's not easy but as always, Deftones is there.
