Texas Pitmasters have been using this blend for ever. They call it SPG but most don’t tell you about the onion powder because they think they have to keep secrets or something. A few use Lawry’s seasoned salt in their blend in addition to or in place of the onion. I use it on pretty much anything I put in my smoker.

I use a very similar recipe but I add a bit of sweet Hungarian paprika.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen granulated garlic or onion, but on the recipe it says garlic /salt powder, isn’t that the same thing🤔

is it better to substitute the regular table salt for kosher salt?
