Session was helpful indeed!
We have a 2- node RAC primary db and 1 node standby db( at mount mode) . Planning for a switchover tomorrow.
At the start of switchover as you mentioned, we will shutdown the 2nd instance of primary. Then after switchover is done, we need to start the 2nd primary instance right using srvctl??And will it behave like a physical standby at mount mode?

So, the new setup after switchover will be 2 physical standby ( both at mount state) with 1 node primary ( read-write mode)?
Please correct me if my assumption is wrong

Also can you please tell me
If it mandatory to add temp files on new primary after Switchover activity?
Actually tempfile is already present in the standby database as of now.
There is 1 tempfile present at primary and 1 at standby, hence count at both the sides are same.
So, in that case, is it really necessary to add a tempfile after Switchover in the new primary?
Appreciate your earliest reply as switchover is tomorrow.
