Extreme Closet Clean Out! | Trying Every Dress I Own

Today, we're diving into a project I've been dreading: a massive closet cleanout. 🤦‍♀️ My wardrobe has become a bit overwhelming, so I'm tackling it head-on by trying on every single dress in my collection. From sentimental favorites to items that just don't quite fit anymore, I'll be deciding what stays, what goes, and what might need a little alteration.

I'm trying to do this in the most sustainable way possible. What I don't decide to keep I'll either give to friends or donate and make sure nothing ends up in a landfill.

I agree with your husband regarding that one dress. It’s not great with your skin tone. It’s not ugly, but if you’re doing a declutter - I’m thinking let it have a new life with someone else. Other dresses look 💯 on you 👏🏻

I think it's reasonable to keep an item even if it's just for one kind of occasion: holiday party, funeral, wedding guest, interview, beach day, etc. It feels more sustainable to me to keep it than go out and buy something new each time an occasion like that arises.

If a dress is gaping too much at the top, just sew in a push button, which is a really easy alteration to do
