tried to do it, but it is not possible on my version of the case atleast so I threw it against the wall and bought another one.

your main issue is you went with a case that only has 1 USB 3 and type c ports. my case has 4 USB 3 and 2 type c ports.

You didn't "fix" anything. You replaced the whole I/O board.
