Man Builds HUGE Amazing LOG HOUSE From Crooked Trees in 9 months - Full Build (TIMELAPSE)

God gave me trees so I built a Log Cabin. Inexpensive debt free MASSIVE Off Grid Log Cabin Build start to finish timelapse. Building with crooked logs is a challenge in every way. Not to mention every single log was Persimmon. They are so dense a 6 inch diameter 8ft long log section can weigh 300lb They make everything difficult, but they cost me nothing and I learned to love them for what they are. It definitely makes my home look unique. They were free because they were going to be bulldozed and burned by the landowner. As long as I cut them and dragged them off by myself I could use them. It's hard to believe that it only took me 9 months of hard work to make it live in ready. Here I've put together a timelapse of the last year of building, hundreds of hours of footage cut into about a 30 min video. I've done a lot of work to get the cabin to where it is now, and I thought it would be nice to have a video showing everything from start until now. Watching the shorter episodes, gives a completely different understanding of how the building was done. There will be more long form videos on the full build with even more detail coming soon. If there are any key moments in the build you would like to see more of please let me know in the comments section below. More work on the homestead will be coming soon, finishing the chinking with mortar, interior doors, building a greenhouse, harvesting fish from our pond, building a dog trot connecting both cabins, rainwater catchment for the house, solar, and more...stay tuned. Happy Holidays, stay safe!

As a retired licensed contractor, carpenter of manly new home builds the last two thirds of my career I would like to tell you that you have a lot to be proud of. Not many people can build a house on their own period, much less of that caliber. To make yourself get up each day and work by yourself from daylight to dark is a lot harder than you would think. It takes a lot of self push and dedication. That roof build was incredible, should hold in the heat and out the bad weather. You did what only a very small percentage of people have done in the last 100 years. You have my fullest respect.

A timelapse video documenting the construction of a huge log house from crooked trees over nine months would captivate viewers with its blend of natural aesthetics and human ingenuity.

Everything was so impressive, your blend of natural and modern materials, old style (block and tackle) and modern equipment, your skill, strength and perseverance...well done! Your editing was perfect and enjoyed the family bits as well. I'm hopeful this will inspire others to engage in satisfying hard work. Thanks, and good luck.

Mad respect for hammering those spikes into the wood with that little bitty hammer! 😂 You did a fantastic job! I am super envious! There is nothing like a cozy log cabin!

I’ve been a lumberman now for about 40 years … I’m getting ready to retire now, and all I can think about before I check out of this part of my existence, is to experience what I’ve just watch you do. Inspiration is truly a waste, if one doesn’t act upon it. You, padna, have inspired me. I woke this morning at 2:00 am to start my day and this past half hour will be the most productive half hour of my whole week. I’ve subscribed and will be checking in periodically, so god speed my friend and god bless you and your entire family, along with those beautiful dreams!! Merry Christmas 🎄

I especially like how you had the children help you with age appropriate tasks during the building of your family home. I hope you all enjoy the beauty of nature, the seasons, and the wildlife that surrounds you, as you grow up and grow old in the wonderful, inspiring, enthralling place you decided to call home.

Dave you are one extremely hard working man, you impressed the hell out of me with your work and work ethic, that was an enormously large project for one man, that’s one beautiful large cabin, no cutting corners with you, fantastic job and you and your family will enjoy it for many years, also I enjoyed seeing the family participating especially your son, loved the look on his face after he pounded the floor joist in place. I’ll be looking for future video’s from you and Thanks for the sharing.
