If work done by friction is 0, and we know friction is only the external force acting on man in forward direction, then the KE of the person should be 0(work energy theorem). How can we explain non-zero KE of the person while walking?

When a question says work done when a man is walking on a horizontal road.. however no mention of friction is there.

Then what about the force he is applying to move in the forward direction and the displacement is also in same direction which leads to angle 0 and workdone not 0

Work done by body will be force×distance as cos theta will be 1 due to 0°between the force applied by man in walking and displacement
But
Work done by friction against body will be in negative as force and displacement are in opposite direction ?
Pls tell am i right or wrong

Going by same logic, is work done by normal force also zero in this case or am I missing something ?
