His defensive numbers are insane considering the amount of defensive zone starts

Serious question. Has anyone ever seen Jake Sanderson get tired on the ice? Dude seems to have bottomless stamina.

Sanderson skates so nice. He looks as good with Stu as he does with Zub

Another tidbit of info to give you more insight into the beast that is Jake Sanderson, apparently he caught wind of some of the negativity surrounding him in his draft year. He spent that summer working like an absolute dog and apparently left his teammates stunned when they saw him when he showed up for his season at North Dakota that year. This guy is the definition of dialled.

Finally a Jake Sanderson video. I agree that the sens really did get the 1st and 2nd best players in that draft. Greig is starting to get his game too. Sandy also played with Jacob Bernard-Docker at NODAK. It's nuts how good Jakes skating is. I'm loving him more every game. Go Sens Go

As a SENS fan, thank you so much for this video. He's been my favorite player this season by far, and the kid is still so young. The vibes right now are SO GOOD. GO SENS GOOOO

Remember all the people clowning his contract when it was signed? ‘Why reward someone who hasn’t proven or earned it?’
Looks AMAZING now

Sanderson Zub pairing is the best in the NHL in xGA/60, but they get less zone starts than their peers, and have harder matchups. The anchor of his previous D partners hurt his early season stats tremendously

I knew it from his draft day.I was so pleased when Ottawa drafted Sanderson. He is a stud of a defencemen.

It's difficult to find the words to describe the sense of confidence I feel when Sanderson has the puck on his stick. In the D zone, you know he's going to use his strong skating or vision to navigate the puck away from danger. In the O-zone, you know he's going to make a smart pass to set up a scoring chance, or work the blue line to improve his own odds to shoot. And the best part is, he seems to do all of the above while very seldomly making a mistake. He is a true superstar Dman in the making.

This video made me like and Sub ! Sanderson had a tough few months this season but that's normal with how much he's played since joining the big club and signing a big contract. Since Dec he's been one of the best D-men in the NHL for sure! Amazing player and hope and Stutzle know the sky is the limit for them! Go Sens Go!

Zub is really underrated too. Zero flair to his game but he's key to Sandy's success. Sandy is as good a skater and breakout artist as Karlsson was.

Glad you covered him. So flash back two seasons ago, as a sens fan, the only two guys at the time who I could trust with the puck during any given circumstance that year, were Glaude Giroux, and rookie Jake Sanderson. Yes Stutzle had his best offensively productive year but I’m referring to who at the time would make the right choice with the puck when they have it. Since then Giroux has had some trouble, especially this year, however Sanderson is virtually flawless at the entire sport. He’s absolutely exceptional and it was abundantly clear literally his first few games of his rookie year. Even the “Toronto” guys noticed and complimented him of those who actually watched a bit of him. I wouldn’t trade him over anyone in the league based on what he’s done for us and his role on this team. He is bar none one of the best in the world. Just SENSational.

Finally some recognition! I think Sanderson is Ottawa’s most valuable piece. Any of the other stars go down, they can make it work, but without Sanderson this team would go nowhere

GMs and especially fans tend to undervalue defensive defencemen. Sanderson's shutdown ability compared to other high scoring "star defencemen" will be so valuable come the playoffs. When you have a player like Sanderson you have an unicorn.

The Jimmy Stu disrespect is CRAZY! JK, great video!

Some people questioned giving him that big contract after only 2 seasons but those were out of market people who rarely saw him play, actual Sens fans loved that extension and the deal keeps looking better and better.
