Yes, we managed it!! Saturday everyone was well enough to travel to Inverness for our family christmas shopping trip and this time the whole family were together 😁 So, the day started early to allow us to get on the road as soon as possible, we stopped at Tesco in Inverness first to pick up supplies for lunch and then the rest of the day didn't go quite as planned 🥴 Even so, it was a fab day at the Eastgate shopping centre that's made us all feel very christmassy and it was lovely spending time together as a family!! 😊 The start of our Vlogmas 2022. That was lovely vlog guys, the kids all behaved beautifully, zoe gets gold star for holding car on her clutch on hill with full load, ben gets gold star for presenting skills in busy city, jo gets a gold star for his excellent behaviour, toby gets a gold star for his kindness ( he looks so adorably at his younger sibs), noah gets gold star for patience, agnes gets gold star for not crying when santa had no free from chocs, leah and erin get gold stars for being enthusiastic shoppers, eva gets gold star for being happiest shopper, the older girls all get gold stars for being so mature and helpful and flo flo cant have a gold star incase she eats it🤣xxxx

Tik Tok has been taking a lot of the vloggers that I watch down. The weird thing is these vloggers do budgeting videos. So I wouldn't feel too bad. Joseph sounds like he had a very good day. My daughter has autism and prewarning her about upcoming events helped immensely. She also does not like anyone invading her space so Joseph did remarkable in such crowds. Small awards, given at random times throughout the day, also helped her to learn coping skills. They are no longer needed.

I love ❤️ Christmas shopping 🛒 for food! I remember the days looking for clothes for my children for their Christmas 🎅 parties at school and for Christmas Day we use to enjoy going to primark a week before they broke up from school! But their Christmas 🎅 presents were bought when kids were in school or on a Sunday in December and I went on my own and I hid the presents 🎁 in my loft!

I love the way you help Joseph. Have you talked with his doctor about sensory processing disorder. My daughter has that and her behaviors in the past were much like his. We say that she sees and hears better than others and it's too much for her to handle. Talking with him about what to expect helps. Noise cancelling g headphones and fidget toys can help too. Therapies help too.

To avoid holding up the line at the cash register and taking so much of your time standing at the cash register to pay for each child's item separately...
Put all their money together in ONE Large envelope. On the back of the envelope, write each child's name down and next to their name write their starting balance.
Pay for everything together and put the receipts in the envelope. At the end of the day, use the receipts to see how much each child's item cost, subtract that from their start money and write their remaining balance.
If the kids want several items from different stores, just do a quick subtraction in your head or on the phone calculator to see how much money they have left to spend at the next store. Or have one of the teenagers keep track of the balances.
This will free up more of your time to shop instead of standing in line and the people behind you in the line will appreciate it that you aren't taking so much of their time waiting on you, especially during the Christmas shopping season when the stores are so full of people.
Child A... $40/ spent $21 + $1.47 tax for toy/ Balance is $17.53
Child B ...$33/ spent $9.39 + $.66 tax for makeup/ Balance is $22.95
Child C...$14/ spent $3.22 and $8.04 candy and toy/ Balance $1.95
