This band is one of those bands I could listen to 50 years later and still experience this same euphoria

I love the little "Heh, " that Alex gives before he reminisces about the crowd waving their arms and stomping their feet. It's like he's fondly remembering the good old days. Such a small detail that adds so much for me. Great track.

The solo at the end is already a timeless classic. The way this band makes music is historic, and we’re living it.

This song is literally the main thing in this album. A major event for every Arctic Monkeys fan

Big Ideas and Sculptures Of Anything Goes are competing for best song from the album in my eyes

This song is gold. Nothing else compares. Piece of art. It’s a beauty.

This is by far the best song on the album and nothing can change my opinion. Its like something I wanted to hear for years but no one had created it until now.

I'm in love with it <3

I'm from Hong Kong and this song really captures the feeling of our 80s golden age pop songs, those that my parents would play me in the car. There's something so sincere in this song.

This band is so awesome, that me at 52 and my son at 21 find a common ground. We're going to their concert in Montreal next year, he has the tickets on his phone!

“I cannot for the life of me remember how it goes” is this album’s “bare wit me man, I’ve lost my train of thought”

Whatever that starts at 2:53 is devastating…like it just shoots me right in the heart.

I've listened to the album twice. It's got an "Abbey Road" taste. It's been 16 years since we first listened to them, and now after 7 albums we can safely say that they are one of the best bands of all time. The orchestration of the album is crazy awesome.

Big Ideas Lyrics

That's quite a number to sing
Spot lit getting lowered in
Can you co-direct and play the twins?
And adapt the main theme for mandolins?
I've conjured up wonderful things
The ballad of what could have been
Over and out
It's been a thrill

I had big ideas, the band was so excited
The kind you'd rather not share over the phone
But now the orchestra's got us all surrounded
And I cannot for the life of me remember how they go

Co-ordinated release
Nationwide festivities
We had 'em out of their seats
Waving their arms and stomping their feet
Some just hysterical scenes
The ballad of what could have been
Over and out
Really it's been a thrill

I had big ideas, the band was so excited
The kind you'd rather not share over the phone
But now the orchestra's got us all surrounded
And I cannot for the life of me remember how they go

I just can't for the life of me remember how they go

I am the producer of the music award in Ukraine. Now we are not working... But I am glad that I live in the era of the existence of this band. No joke. I can see myself, like an old grandfather, taking out an Arctic Monkeys record and listening to it on the terrace of my house, admiring the apple orchard. the song "big idea" will be played. I am waiting for my grandchildren to visit. I sit and remember my year 2022. The war is in my country, and I will thank the people who helped to survive it. Thanks to the music, which then drowned out the rocket fire, and now merges with the rustling of leaves in the apple orchard.

They just created another masterpiece with this album. All the songs sound so unique.

The song feels like almost a meta-commentary on the progression of their sound, and seems to suggest that progression is less of a conscious choice and maybe more of an inability to replicate the sounds they once made, a nostalgic view through binoculars at a time that's now far passed, really beautiful song
