If you do video about "BEST" mastering plugins, so please talk about "BEST" mastering plugins, because most of them are not even mastering plugins.... Where are real mastering plugins?... Amek Mastering compressor, Brainworks bx-XL, Sonnox, McDSP, SSL and Weiss stuff or A.O.M. G3?? I like your videos, but this one make no sense...

No Shadow Hills mastering compressor, or SPL Iron? No Weiss stuff? that stuff is better than most of the plugins you showed here, at least in my comparisons. Black box M/S is amazing IMO ...But I love the format and information...I'd also use 2 completely different sources and add live instruments with piano and acoustic drums, if something works with electronic music and jazz then it's definitely God-tier.

I've had TDR Simulathe sitting on my desktop since release and i still haven't gotten round to testing it lol.
But it's absolutely crazy that they've simulated a lathe and it works. Instant pro tool !

Nice entertaining video! However didn't like the Bassline in the example in this video, the hihats became more harsh after enabling it and the whole balance shifted to more brightness. I find that always when I use a stereo widening it's making a mix brighter so I tend to use it on the buses or individual channels in a mix more than on a mix bus to prevent overbrightening the mix later.

1:46 despite my autism being the Costco generic brand that doesn’t have the “good at math” feature (I call it Kirkland-Signature Brand Autism), I do appreciate when you result down different moves based on mathematics. Do you have a more fleshed out “audio mastering math” sort of video?

for me the real real real life changing plug in is Ceiling Of Sound by Ayaic Software. Maybe the most underatted plug in of all time. I never seen an Eq that can do what COS does

Looking forward to a video on simulathe! When analyzing previously pressed masters and new masters with extreme settings, I’m not seeing a huge difference in the vinyl cutting simulation… not sure if I’m using it it correctly or if there’s really not that much difference required in the masters

Agree on the fabfilter q3. Almost every time I have it on something, I have screwed it up somewhere. It is a kind of workaround instead of a cure.

I'm curious on your opinion on Elevate and SpectralDynamics.

Also Fabfilter ProL. Sometimes I feel like it's a bit on a heavy handed side considering Cpu consumption, but in all honestly I like how it sounds

Just curious....all mixers are saying to mix bass in the mono ..and then with the baseline you make it stereo...why not to do this already in the mixing phase ? Is mono bass thing outdated ?
