Honestly, this game's music planted a seed in my 7 year old brain and is the only reason why I got into prog. metal, and made me pick up the guitar. 20 years later, going through the djent madness and finding what can sound original: This. This sounds original and it's decades old. Jeff and Saki fucking killed it, and I hope that the video game industry can harbor this same creativity again. DOOM's soundtrack almost sounds influenced by this, and it's the closest we got to having a GOOD and ORIGINAL soundtrack.

Emerging out of the tunnel and into the long, straight outback roads where you could go full speed was one of the most liberating feelings ever when I played this game as a child!

As a Sydneysider, I took for granted how cool it was having your own city as a racetrack in a Need for Speed game as a kid.

The way the soundtrack was always 100% spot on depending on your position and surroundings felt seriously groundbreaking.

I remember this track when I played NFS2 back 1997 on my PS1. It was my 1st game ever to play and I was amazed how awesome PlayStation and this game was.

Я первое время никак не мог дальше 4 трассы пройти, пока не догадался, что тише едешь - дальше будешь, и мощные машины соревнуются с такими же мощными машинами) в итоге оседлал свой бравый Италдизайн(формально самая медленная машина, зато при этом самая маневренная) и победил всех)

I'm fairly confident that this audio track is what started me down a path of loving metal. Coming back to this feels the same way that walking into my old room at my moms house gives. Its almost chilling.
