In US, I used to know someone whom she knew she was sick but was afraid to go to hospital because she was scared the medical bill. She had to chose if she went to hospital, she would have a huge medical bill that she would have nothing to live on or may be she would get better on her own, a miracle.

One day her friend supposed to meet her for regularly activities. She did not answer her call. Went knocking on the door no one answered. Her car was there. Called the police to break the door and got in and found her corpse. She was indeed very sick and died in her house more than a week. True story. How sad the richest country on earth doesn't take care their own people's basic needs but spent those money in endless war.
