If you dont know the context, that's a pretty boring lap

Funny is, in the end, Glock wasn't the guy that took away Massa's trophy. He was the guy that ALMOST made Massa WC.

Kudos to Glock for actually keeping his car on track despite losing control like 7 times.

The Toyota strategists did an awesome job and made Glock gain some places by not pitting, yet they’re always seen as idiots and get no credit

People don’t realize that he gained 2 positions with this strategy

I was kinda hating glock for letting hamilton pass, because I felt like on the TV Cam it looked a bit like he slowed down on purpose. Now I see that he was really struggling for grip. Shame on me!

I just entered a new era in my life after discovering that Glock didn’t just let Hamilton pass but instead he was just struggling for grip. We had to wait almost 10 years for this. Thank you F1

If life is a race, I'd be Massa.

Easy to forget had Glock been able to keep P4, his gamble would have won Massa the title

Had he pitted like everyone else, Hamilton's champion without the dramatic finish

If you didn’t know the context, this would be a masterclass of wet weather racing on dry tires. But since Brazil is gonna Brazil, this man can’t go a day without thinking about the lap

Ever since I started watching the sport, I've been a fan of Massa. And in 2008, I witnessed 2 devastating events. 1, Patriots losing the Superbowl after going undefeated 😂 and 2, Massa losing the championship. Was happy as hell when Massa finished 1st. But after finding out Lewis got the position he needed and seeing Massa on the podium (you could see the pain on his face), couldn't help but cry too! Overall, I was pissed at Glock during that period also. But never believed it was some "intentional act" to give up the position. Dry tires on a wet track, what else can you say! And though it may look easy from the outside that the driver could have easily carried on, I'm sure actually piloting one of these cars in wet conditions with dry tires is an entirely different story. Truth is, if "we" haven't done it, we can't fault Glock for struggling in the conditions that ultimately and unfortunately costed Massa the championship. To me, the championship had been lost in the previous races. One of the big ones in my opinion was the fuel mishap that led to Massa driving down pitlane with the tube still attached. I forgot the track but there was an engine failure either before or after that race. Those were points lost. Very unfortunate! Overall, it's sad to see you leave the sport Felipe! I'm not even Brazilian but I love the guy!! Definitely one of the nicer guys of the sport as many have said!

Timo Glock done well to even keep it on track. That last lap, the rain was far worse than in the previous one, visibility was almost nil, it was so dark that lights were coming on in the stands, and he had worn out slick tyres on an increasingly wet track. He showed a lot of skill to not wreck the car.

Up there with one of the best Grand Prix ever, whoever you wanted to be champion. A re-run of the whole race was screened last week in the UK and I swear it was just as tense now as it was then!

Still cant understand why people hate glock for that. Its not his fault

I like the comments. As you say for years people (mostly ferrari) suggested that glock slowed down deliberately. The reality, as shown, is that it's almost a miracle he was able to keep himself on the track.

Thank you for finally posting this... it provides closure, as Timo's tires were clearly done.
I'll never forget this GP.

Glock is a Hero to mantain his car in that conditions. Rain are the villain in that moment. One of most saddest Races i ever seen.

I think this just proves he didnt let him pass, as soon as he notices that hamilton passed him he tries to floor it to get the position back but he ends up sliding, grip was a real issue here
