Yamaha DT 50 Project

My second Yamaha project!

I bought this Yamaha last summer and wanted to rebuild it just like my old Yamaha.

This video is just the first part of this bike's story. I will be updating and improving this bike many times. In the future the will be a second project video of this bike. Maybe something like 86cc TPR etc.. :)

The bike is a Yamaha DT 50R from 2009. When I got it, it was completely stock and had 15k kilometers on it.

List what I did to the bike:

Frame:
- Professional painted the frame, swingarm and some other parts.
- I painted forks, wheels etc myself.
- New forkfluids and seals
- New bearings for the wheels
- New front brake caliber
- New brake discs
- New sprockets and chain
- New axles for the wheels

Engine:
- 70cc Airsal Sport with 190° exhaust port and slightly modified piston
- Stage6 R/T 24mm PWK
- Stage6 V-Force 3 reed valve
- Stage6 air filter
- Stage6 carbon clutch
- TPR 24/28 PWK intake manifold
- Most 70-80cc 2017 exhaust
- Most 10mm intake manifold spacer
- Ducati ignition (MVT DD coming later)
- Stock crankshaft with Italkit conrod and bearings
- TPR SKF C3 bearings

- Revline MX Graphics custom graphics kit
- New plastics
- New seat cover
- Spoke skins

Really nicelely done! I have a DT 50 for years in my garage and at times I was really hungry but no matter how hungry, or low on money at times I got I never would sell the bike =D Now years later things are doing better... and maybe in a year I have the time and money to rebuilt it!

it looks silly with that rear suspention lifter. stock hight would look more clean. otherwise great build :)

in morocco we have the 1988 dt 50 125 360 but never managed to find a dt 2007 or higher and i don't know why
