Simple Minds have been musical pioneers for 40 glittering years. Catching the mood of the post-punk era, when the angry sounds of 1977 were splintering into a thousand different shapes, they emerged with a style rooted in the art-rock of David Bowie and the electronic dance of Donna Summer. I listened to this song for the first time last night. I am a fan since 1981 from USA, SF Bay Area. We had a night club that was famous from about 1981-1986, called Stargaze in Fremont, California. Simple Minds were the only band that had their picture on wall as you entered Stargaze and the only band that had one special night dedicated to their music.
I love this new song. It’s stuck in my head. Charlie’s guitar riffs are as infectious as ever and love the lyrics and the positive energy of the song and the band. Bravo! 👏🏼👏🏼
