Your friends might have told you that crypto is simple and all you do is buy and see those mad gain roll in. I hate to break the news but crypto is like the Wild West with hackers, scams and dodgy exchanges everywhere.

Making gains in crypto is one thing, keeping them is a different beast entirely. If you get that crypto stolen there is no bank to ring up to reverse that transaction. Also, be prepared for crazy volatility up and down. If you cannot handle swings of 30%+ in a day then crypto is honestly not for you.

Also, you should know that the price of a crypto is largely irrelevant. It is not as simple as saying that Bitcoin costs $40,000 and this random altcoin is just a few cents, therefore, it must be way cheaper. A better way to measure relative value is market cap.
