Can’t blame you for changing to a trike, much easier to launch than a paramotor. I hope your still enjoying your trike.

Two years behind you. Bought one, start conversion training Tuesday. I did 1 flight in a 2 seat trike, not doing the conversion course would be as lovely and safe as Russian Roulette 😁Love the Van setup, great thinking 🙂👍

I love seeing someone get a grip of their life and doing something which most people would find outrageous or too frightening to contemplate. Good on yer, gal!

Thanks for sharing this, very inspirational. I'm looking at getting back into weightshift flying again. I flew for 15 years, hang gliders, powered hang gliders, and trike. Cheers from Australia.

What a lovely video! Hello from the Petrified Forest in Northeast Arizona, USA. I've been flying these wonderful machines since 2004. Here's a penny's worth of free advice. Make every flight a training flight for a portion of it. Just a few minutes really. I love to practice spot landings. I roll back the power to minimum and find the best place to land. Taking into account wind speed etc. and see if I could stick the landing. Sometimes I land, most times I dont. It is so much fun. Hone your skills and become one with your trike!

Julie Drake, you are one hell of an amazing woman, your family must or certainly should be so proud of you for doing this, the BBC should make a documentary about you.

Beautiful Julie. I'm currently travelling the UK by narrow boat I also like independence. I've only just learnt about sub 70 and I think this would be an ideal aircraft to get me aloft! I'm soon to be on the Lancashire Canal and will stay on it until April next year. I'm now putting feelers out for introduction and training. I like what I see in your video, I hope you're still flying and living the life in the motor home. 🤠

Brilliant Julie, so inspiring. At the grand young age of 63 Im learning to fly Flexwings at Sywell, and would love to try a peabee- thanks for posting your vid!!. More please!!

After the aircraft is rigged, you get in, taxi to the takeoff point, level the wings and the bar, press the throttle and your heavier-than-air aircraft runs down the runway ... not for long. Soon Bernoulli's law takes over and, hey presto, you are airborne! That moment of lift off, be it in your own PeaBee or a lumbering Airbus filled with 300+ passengers, never fails to impress me. Every time I think it's a miracle. We are no longer restricted to Mother Earth.

Since watching Giles' PeaBee videos, this has appeared on my video feed asif by magic! I fly two seat Permit flex, but a no-fuss single seat does look attractive as a second aircraft.

This is awesome! My mother looks about the same frame as you and this is motivating because I'm a large male and if you can set all this up, this must be affordable for travel! I remember looking online at this weed hopper trike and for some reason they baited me with somthing affordable then not! All good because it said it had wood inside and that's how they used to be built! I'm looking for somthing affordable and more modern! I can't wait to fly! Nice to see you enjoying the sky's!!!!

Julie, it is great to see you enjoying yourself so much. Trikes are great, and they just don't experience wing collapse, which was the great selling point for me. Nice video.

Julie - I loved your video. The Orville brothers, and their sister Katherine, would have been very impressed with your independence, organization and passion for flying ... those qualities took them to great heights and achieved something most others only dream about. Bravo to you - inspiration to us all. Liam

Nice video showing the whole deal...transport, set-up, and flying. I noted somebody in one of the comments talking about cost. Yes anything that's high quality is expensive...that's just the way it is. However, these "Nano Trikes" are almost the same cost as a paramotor engine cage/ harness, and wing. Now, if you add a trike to the paramotor you're talking almost the same money. Thanks.
