Tim, what about that land in Serpukhov for the foreign families? I hear the project took off. If you could make a video about that, it would be very interesting to see.

*From 2014 to 05/2023, there were about 4 million more emigrants than immigrants in Russia.*
The immigrants were about 3/4 from Uzbekistan, Tajkistan and Kygystan and were mainly low-skilled.
The emigrants, on the other hand, were predominantly well to highly qualified young Russians.
Just google "International migration in Russia from 1997 to 2021"

How would you recommend starting learning Russian? Any tips regarding books, sites et cetera would be welcome.

I am Russian, and I was always wondering, is it really hard for an immigrant to get a citizenship over here. Thanks for a video!

Is it true that if a foreigner joins the Russian Army, they can get citizenship in 3 - 5 years?

Tim, you making it sound like Russians are making it so hard for people to get a citizenship lol...and omg you gotta wait 6 months and omg it's so long 😂 Getting USA/EU/Australian/Canadian/UK citizenship for any Russian is 100x WORSE and waiting time is estimated in YEARS in most cases. Like for instance if you marry an Australian citizen and apply for citizenship - it will take you about 4 years at least to get A CHANCE to get the citizenship. No guarantees and fees are MUCH MUCH higher than in Russia. If you would like to bring your elderly parent - just to get a permanent visa takes about 50 years last time I checked. I'm not joking.

Thanks Tim! I'm not really sure I want to be a citizen there. Just travel. I'm pretty well of financially. And as a Low voltage guy? Really have no problems securing work anywhere in the world. Plus gobs of Military experience working on submarines.

From what I see there? There are whole parts of Russia that are abandoned. Seems more like my place to explore. I just want to drive around and take the trains there. But I think I have to get some kind of passport to do that. Will an American Passport work for that?

Also, I really like the Car culture there. Is buying a car as simple as a cash transaction? And how does things like insurance for that car etc. work? I know a bit off topic, but could you do a video on that? That way I could share it with more friends.

Thanks Tim.

What if you're retired and are collecting a pension that you are living on? Would that be enough to be able to move to Russia?

Hi! What do you mean when you say you need to have no criminal record with a ..pasteel??..on it? I was arrested 10 years ago for being being drunk in my car in Canada without even driving and I have a criminal record because of this (was in a parking lot...yeah Canada is insane). I am in the process of having the criminal record erased (it's called a pardon). I'm going to Marry a Russian woman soon** :) Thank you for your content it helps a lot
