The actual idea of the world uniting against a common alien enemy was penned in a 1948 novel called The Flying Saucer by Bernard Newman

Liked Reagan over Bushes and Clintons. Then again I was just a kid so what did I know? He was an actor but seemed more sincere than Slick Willy. Of course senators, CEOs and high level officers have more permanent power than a president with a limited term. Reagan was the face of a country I grew up in.
