LAFD Apartment Fire w/ Mutual Aid: Station 66 (Hyde Park)

Los Angeles Fire Department companies responded to reports of a structure fire on the 3500 blk. of W. Florence Ave. (corrected to 3500 blk. of W. 71st St.) at 22:01hrs. with mutual aid from LA County Fire.

Units assigned: LA City Battalion 13, Task Force 66, Light Force 94, Engine 57, Rescue 66, Rescue 266, Rescue 866, LA County Battalion 20 & Engine 172.

LFD TF66 was first on-scene of a one-story row of apartments with one unit well involved with fire. E66 was primary fire attack with back up from E57, LF66 went to the roof, BC13 was Brynhurst IC, and remaining companies were tasked with checking adjacent exposures (which all turned out to be clear).

One patient was treated by RA266 with an unknown medical complaint.

28 firefighters were assigned with knockdown being called in 18 minutes, unknown cause.

All Playing and No firefighting. The FIRST thing you do is pull a booster line to the burning material and apply tank water. Within the first minute of arrival. That means, that fire should have been OUT before this video started.

1:25 No water on the fire or the exposures. Just an assembly of Lawn Statues watching someone's property burn. That fire could have been extinguished with Nobody on the roof and no saws. Oh yeah and, with two firefighters. The engineer and the nozzle person. Before the video started, not Eventually!
