So I noticed this background sound in the Basement and found an interesting correlation...

This is also the same leitmotif that appears in the beginning of vs Susie and imminent death

It goes deeper, because Your Best Nightmare is referencing the "You Idiot" lietmotif.

It's also present in "imminent death" when Susie is about to fight Lancer.

Im fairly certain this is just the “intimidation” motif, as susie has it in two of her tracks too, but a good observation nonetheless!

If you wait a minute, the face ot the blue enemies becomes similar to Flowey's face.

All these flowey references are intentionally to throw us off. There is literally no possible way for flowey to exist in deltarune as asriel is alive and well.
Unless toby is gonna implement so universe hopping BS, flowey can't possible be in the game.

Maybe a new villain similar to flowey will appear...

The first part of the OST played while Ralsei describes the Roaring is also quite similar.

Spamton kind of reminds me of Flowey because in both routes we are the one who helped him become NEO and in Undertale in neutral and pacifist route we are kind of the reason why he became powerful. Also in basement at place with tea cup ride there can appear a face similiar to Spamton's which is called "friend" in files and in Undertale Flowey's theme was called "Your best friend"

Makes me wonder if stuff from Undertale will slowly start seeping into Deltarune, Chapter 2 has been surprisingly chalked full of Undertale leimotifs from all of the songs you can hear whilst in the traffic jam to this and the sampling of Mettaton NEO. Could be similar to a dystopia-type situation where its a utopia on the surface but becomes increasingly more flawed the more you look into it, only it's Deltarune feeling like a completely detached world from Undertale (with only some vague similarities), but the more you look into it the more Undertale Universe and the Deltarune Universe start aligning with one another.

Or it could just not and the leimotifs are there just cause (this is probably more likely) but it's still interesting just how much more of the Undertale songs have been referenced in the second chapter
