Start Menu And Cortana Not Working In Windows 10 (Fix N°4)

You still have problems with Windows 10 start menu and its apps (Cortana, Settings, Mail...). You've tried Fix N°1, Fix N°2 and Fix N°3 but it didn't work. Here's Solution N°4.

gpedit.msc only brought up no such file or program. tired opening group editor with file manager, it locked up. start menu does not work at all and no icons on task bar.

This problem occurred for me just the other day, and I have tried all fixes suggested to no avail. I have also tried starting the computer in safe mode with networking, and the results are the same, unfortunately. Antivirus was uninstalled as well.
