What is your favorite FS1 memory of Skip?

Nick is the only one I’ve heard cover this topic honestly. You may not like Skip’s personality but he’s a media pioneer regardless.

I get why people didn’t care for skip but nick is right. Skip pioneered an entire generation of sports talk and brought talking sports and those shows real mainstream. ESPN owes a ton of their success to him personally

Nick Wright, you are right. without Skip doing debate on espn, first things first doesn't exist.

Nick's 100 percent right that Skip responded way better than any of us thought he would in the social justice discussions. Definitely better than Steven A

All the Skip stuff aside, Nick has really impressed me with how humble he is and how respectful of his peers he is. He pays Skip and Colin their flowers as well as his First Things First team. Loyalty is admirable and Nick has shown that. I love that he loves his team now, i remember how awful Cris Carter was working with him

Nick a solid dude. I'm sure Shannon would co-sign a lot of this also.

Yo Nick,

Thanks for being candid about this topic. I am a LeBron guy but I've also watched Skip since about 2012 on FT. Some of his commentary over the years I thought was ridiculous but as someone who cares about policy and social causes Skip was consistently dropping banger commentary and tackling issues bigger than sports especially with Shannon.
That always resonated with me and particularly whenever racism and sports crossed over, and particularly during the George Flyod era of unrest.

Excellent points as always, and this sentiment should not be lost about Skip.

I appreciate Nick giving Skip his flowers.

Skip and SAS ruined sports media with ridiculous outlandish narratives and takes that have nothing to do with game. Nick you have great responsibility to give the Audience the respect it deserves unlike they did.

Skip fired himself the day he let Shannon go. He thought he was gonna have fun post Shannon but he was wrong and delusional. I remember the first show after he came back from hiatus with Sherman, Keyshawn, Michael Irvin & company all happy talking about "finally, the moment I've been waiting for" referring to UNDISPUTED re-launch. Now look at him aged so fast in less than a year post Shannon. This should be a lesson to all of us. RESPECT and APPRECIATE people who bring a lot to the table....don't let your EGO get the best of you.

there's a clear difference between Skip Bayless and jason witlock. yes skip had issues with takes but they were always in the SPORTS area. Skip never became witlock. he never would.
respect nick.

Say what you want about Skip. Hate him or love him, so many of _your_ favorite sports show can be *DIRECTLY* attributed to this man. And tbh, there’s something so on-brand about Skip not taking a *VERY* well deserved victory lap. Dudes prideful and he’s always been about sports. He left as he arrived.

Look Skip changed the landscape back in the day! Love him or hate him that's fine, but he did create sports debate shows.

People will act like they don’t like Skip yet here you are giving Nick one of his highest viewed videos on Skip Bayless. The man is 72, made millions and left a place of work after nearly eight years lol. Get over it

Best take by far. People are so emotional! He was the best heel in sports for 20 years.

This mirror’s what SAS said about Skip. For a 72 year old to be still doing this is a testament of Skip’s contribution to sports media.

Nick is the best member of sports media. You can always feel his sincerity and authenticity. This was classy and regardless of what your opinion on Skip is, everything Nick said is factually correct.
