I mean, it's boring, but Feel Good Inc. just scratched my brain in the right way.

The intro of "Walking On The Moon" by The Police. It's something me and my dad often listen to in the car.

The bassline from the smiths’ this charming man made me want to learn how to play bass. 17 years later and I know almost all their songs on guitar and bass, they’re my favorite band of all time. Andy rourke was one of the best bass players ever. May he rest in peace.

This might sound silly, but the very first song that actually got me into bass was "One Of These Days", by Pink Floyd. It's a very simple one to play on bass, but you have to be steady, because of the delay pedal and in the middle part, the little "bass solo", with the build up and the distorted voice was so amazing to my 9 years old self, watching everything on my VHS of Live at Pompeii, that I was stunned! Even though the videoclip is focusing on Nick Mason, the bass always caught my attention. It has so many details, that complement the song as a whole... It's a masterpiece.

My inspirations when I started playing were definitely Cliff Burton and Justin Chancellor, but the real reason I wanted to play bass was because I didn't think guitar was very original.

For me it was seeing John Entwistle do his bass solo during the middle of The Who’s song 5:15 in 2000.

Flea! Guy just seemed like he was having fun. Thought to myself "It's only 4 strings, how hard could it be?"

New Model Army - No Rest. They had so many wild bass lines back then.

Tim Commorford is my bass hero. The bassline for bullet in the head is where i got my start. His bass tone is enchanting

Mr Jean Jacques Burnel. The Stranglers were the first well known band I ever saw live and as soon as I saw JJ Burnel I never wanted to play anything else. He and Lemmy are my two top bass heroes to this day.

Never been big on Offspring but the bassline in The Kids Aren't Alright is pretty great.

Probably "My Generation" but "Blame it on the Boogie" and Jethro Tulls "Bouree" deserve a couple of personal mentions
