Ah yes, my parents were unsure about Harry Potter too. But I made it easy on them cause I never really was interested in it to begin with.
I will say though, when I went to Universal Studio I was extremely impressed with their Harry Potter themed section of the park.

2 yrs late, but still important! My nanny was full Scottish and when I was young we were not allowed to go out on Halloween. Pope John Paul 2nd told parents it's okay for your kids to go out. Dress up and use their imaginations. He said for the Harry Potter movies, books, that it teaches kids that good always overcomes evil ! It may not happen in a day or month but the light always overcomes the darkness!!

Grew up in a very Christian town. I was allowed to watch Harry Potter but my friend wasnt and tried very hard to convince me it was satanic(as did their family) but they were all huge fans of Twilight so that definitely felt very hypocritical 😂

I’m a Christian, and I am quite obviously a very devoted Potterhead. My parents originally didn’t really like the series because they said it “promotes witchcraft” which I can see where they’re coming from but they had a change of heart when they found out several of our leaders have quoted Harry Potter in speeches 💀
