A lovely example of scientific health research testing a treatment using tech developed by scientists using tech developed within my lifetime, testing whether their tech will help improve the lives of people...
and at the same time this example teaches about a condition GPs may not consider as an alternate diagnosis, and helps non-experts understand some aspects of clinical work.

To me, that included the value of kids playing certain video games and with remote toys, translating movements in hand and controller to different movements on a screen.

I wonder how much the development of techniques for turning corners where a blood vessel bends, or choosing the path where one divides, paralleled or used techniques developed by plumbers and engineers using larger scale, earlier tech iterations of viewing tech and flexible tubes for tasks like clearing remote blockages or insert pipe liners after a blockage is cleared.
