I had 2 siblings born with this condition. My sister was shorter and older by 3 or 4 years when my youngest brother was finally diagnosed. The Doctor said he would get worse the taller he got. At 13 or 14 he was almost 6 ft tall. His growth and the Ataxia killed him in his early 30s. Where as my sister lived into her early 60s. I think it was called Friedrich Ataxia when he was diagnosed in the late 1960s. They said it was a rare thing inherited from both sides back then.
