This show was, essentially, my first exposure to super heroes that weren't Spider Man. Now, at 41, I still remember the heroes that started it all, for me. Thanks for the walk down memory lane. 😁

Being a kid in the 80's, shows like these were bitter sweet. I loved them so much and they had a big impact on me, but it always made me sad when they were cancelled. However, I was too young to understand the concept. As far as I knew, they just disappeared from television and I didn't know why. How could such a cool show like this not be on tv anymore? I would religiously check the schedule for weeks to see if it was coming back, but ultimately gave up when the next short lived, far out show caught my attention, only to repeat the process all over again when it too was cancelled. Sorry to be a downer, but such was life for an 80's kid.

You have no idea how much I loved this show as a kid... it was my gate way to the X-men.

This was one of a handful of shows that I loved as a kid, even though I barely got to know them. Misfits of Science. Manimal. Street Hawk. Other World. All of them were definitely "Too weird to live, and too rare to die."

This show, Knight Rider, Airwolf, Greatest American Hero...etc were my favourite shows as a kid. They may not have aged well, but I wish that there are still more shows like this, rather than most of the Reality TV Crap that is on nowadays. And I loved the pumped up part of the theme song too.

For years I thought my memories of this show was just some kind of fever dream. I am so glad there are others who loved this show.

I love how this show is constantly tongue-in-cheek, but it's never meanspirited and always manages to come off respectful of even the most obscure properties and their fans.

This show had such a impact on me as a kid that I have stronger memories of it than shows that we’re on the air 4 times as long.
Here’s another show for ya, the 1986 series “The Wizard.”

Lol that Misfits of Science logo in the commercial looks an awful lot like the Masters of the Universe logo. Maybe not a coincidence that Courtney Cox was in this and the MotU film?!? Follow-the-money!

OMG the memories of this show....always talked about it to people and always got a puzzled look back from them lol. Had no idea so much tragedy hit a third of the cast/creative team

"Those wild and crazy scientific guys!" I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who remembers this short-lived series fondly.

Let me get this straight: You're talking about an 80s show with a character named "Beef" that somewhere along the line inexplicably stops being on said show and you did NOT make a "where's the beef?" joke...

I'm so disappointed in you.

Even though it wasn't on the air for very long, and even though I didn't see many episodes, Misfits of Science made quite an impression on me, and that's why I remember it to this day. I think there was a fad or trend around the mid-80s regarding the science aspect of science fiction. There were shows like Whiz Kids, Probe, MacGuyver and of course this one, along with movies like Back to the Future, My Science Project, Wierd Science and Real Genius that had a science theme to them.

You didn't mention the amazing theme song to this show written by the late, great
Basil Poledouris! It's the only song on the iTunes account on my current phone. Occasionally, a butt-dial will start it at random times, like how it did yesterday at the post office when my earbuds were dead. Slightly embarrassing.

So happy to see you make a video about Misfits of Science. I loved it as a kid and for years was trying to find a way to watch it. I finally paid the money for the German 5 disc DVD set around 2014 because I saw that the English audio was on there. Since game systems and DVD players here in America wouldn’t play them because of the region, I ripped all the videos on my computer and can watch them anywhere and with any device now. Once again thanks because this show needs more attention.
