Don't carrier proteins require some kind of energy to change shape and move the molecules down their concentration gradients during facilitated diffusion? Is facilitated diffusion a type of secondary active transport and uses the electrochemical gradient of ions that are moving due to the diffusion to provide energy to the protein?

Can 'carrier proteins' require energy to move compounds against concentration gradient?

Concentration gradient provides the energy so we didn't need energy but we need carriers
