Hi everyone! Uploads may be more infrequent as I have a few exams coming up.

Lyrics for Lord Huron's Ghost on the Shore from Lonesome Dreams.

I'm just a man but I know that I'm damned
All the dead seem to know where I am
A tale that began on the night of my birth
Will be done in a turn of the earth

I'll lie where I land
let my bones turn to sand
I was born on the lake and I don't wanna leave it
Every eye on the coast ever more
Will remember the sight of the ghost on the shore

Under the waves and the earth of an age
Lie a thousand old northerners graves
Deep in the night when the moon's glowing bright
They come rising up into the night

I'll die if I must
let my bones turn to dust
I'm the Lord of the lake and I don't wanna leave it
All who sail off the coast ever more
Will remember the tale of the ghost on the shore

I'm going away for a long time
I'm going away for a long time

Lie where I land
let my bones turn to sand
I was born on the lake and I don't wanna leave it
Every eye on the coast ever more
Will remember the sight of the ghost on the shore

Die if I must
let my bones turn to dust
I'm the lord of the lake and I don't wanna leave it
All who sail off the coast ever more
Will remember the tale of the ghost on the shore

I'm going away for a long time

My grandfather lays on his deathbed as I write this and he was Born in Newfoundland Canada. This song keeps playing in my mind.

His accent reminds me of country singers but the instrumentals are like. English fairy forest aesthetic

This song is so relaxing. The harmonica at the beginning reminds me of shallow breathing, and just the nostalgic feel of the whole song helps me calm down. :) I love it.

This feels more like a metaphorical ghost - the thought or story of a person left behind. Very nice, I like that kind of stuff.

This song makes me weep every time I hear it. The intro and outro sound like eternity itself: cold, lonesome; the "long time" means forever. Magnificent melancholy.

Cold and alone. Nothing to warm you up and no expectations to feel warm again. Feels.

God, it's not often that I find a song that's fitting for 3 of my characters at once. Usually it's just 2. Hell, one of the three's even a literal ghost.
