Oakland's ‘Defund Police' Debate Continues

An Oakland community group is re-emphasizing its demand that the city cut the police department budget and instead send the money to community groups. Anoushah Rasta reports.

Crazy to reduce peace officers in such a violent city!!! If non-officers stops someone that has not obeyed the law with "please do not speed", it will not work. When people do not have to follow the law, they will continue to not follow the law. I hope counselors have training to defend themselves from criminals etc. Don't take police officers out of their jobs to help the counselors, then there won't be anyone left to stop robbers, killers, etc etc.
