Why 343 Should NEVER Make an ODST Halo Game

Well 343 hasn't made a good looking ODST helmet yet IMO, BUT the leaked images of Halo Infinite's ODST helmets look sexy

I think the reason the new ODST helmet looks off is because of the depth of the armor versus the visor. In the Halo 3 and Reach style, the top and bottom right above and below the visor significantly protrude from the helmet, so as to protect the wearer's visor from oncoming debris or shrapnel from various directions, while also creating a unique aesthetic for the ODST helmet that makes it easily distinguishable from that of a spartan. The newer ODST helmet lacks this depth, which makes it look too much like just another spartan helmet.

This is an old video but in Infinite there is a slightly better ODST helmet, but the really traditional design language of the ODST helmet is found on the "Firefall" helmet.

Halo 4’s ODST helmet was the Recruit helmet.
The “ODST” helmet literally looked like the version you get for you 360 Xbox Live avatar for beating the campaign of Halo 3: ODST.

I remember when this was released as Halo 4 DLC alongside the best 343i version of the Mark V Mjolnir armor at the time...
Insane how they adapted the Mark V so perfectly in Halo 4, yet the ODST looks so... SCUFFED.

Lmao. That's also how I feel about the Halo 4/5 Mark VI. It looks like a cosplayer who tried making it from memory and got the proportions wrong.
