Great review. I work for a high end electronics company. I have been very impressed with the q85b this year. The picture is very punchy and the contrast is amazing for an ips type tv. Regularly hits over 10k to 1. Very bright as well. The q90b is just a bit better but most people will love the q85.

Nice review KG, I had the same impression on the QN85A from last year, the viewing angles suffer from blooming, but sitting straightforward the picture looks amazing.

Only one issue the positives this tv has over the 90b is comepltly erased when buying the 85 inch 85b because it uses same panel va as 90b. 85 looks beatiful with its other panel

Nice work Samsung. They really bumped up the processing it seems. The QN90B has already been regarded as the best ever lcd by many reviewers and even this step down here is great. Sadly still an avs panel :(. Ava panel would be a killer for this price.

from what I've seen this looks like a good TV for all that you get from it. and you can save a few bucks and will be close to the QN90B. The only thing I see that's a bummer ✖️✖️✖️ is the ADS panel.

can't wait to see the 2022 Sony X90K. The XR processor in my A80J still astounds me daily. 1080p upscaling is so Good. thinking of buying an LCD for gaming. I love gaming on my oled but i only play for short periods of time because I don't want any burn in. zero burn in so far but likely because I am very careful with the panel and static content
