First time Homebuyer savings | Florida $10,000 down payment assistance program

The Florida Bond program is available with lenders approved by the Florida Housing Finance Corporation (FL Housing) and they offer first mortgage products and down payment and closing cost assistance second mortgage programs to eligible First Time Homebuyers through a network of approved Participating Lenders. Check with your lender to find out if they are on the approved list before you get pre-approved!

I’m trying to figure out how to buy a home, but I personally know people who are making less than 40, 000 a year and they own a home. And I know they didn’t have money for a down payment so I am so confused on how to buy a home and how people just have 20 $30, 000 to pay down

So how does paying back these amounts, such as the $10k, work in addition to the monthly payments? So for example, say I find a $120, 000 house I want to buy. I have $30, 000 available as a down payment. Typically looking at a 30 year fixed rate at 8% where I am. Estimated monthly payment would be ~$850. How might this help me?

What is the link for down payment assistance programs? I feel like you have to go through a lender to do the whole mortgage pre approval. And pulling your credit multiple times will eventually go lower than you originally started and it will affect the process. Like give me feedback on down payment assistance and where to look for it. There is so many only and it’s confusing on to where to look at. Thanks.
