That bass riff conveys aggressiveness and gives the song its kick-ass sound. Makes perfect sense since the story takes place in NYC and concerns a tough street kid. What a great song, pure magic !

Great stuff man. You really helped me out learning for my band Genesis Visible Touch. We are doing a version of the seconds out one but I started here to hear the bass more clearly and I appreciate your own licks in there at the end as well. Keep it up man!!!

Man I need jazz bass or stingray. My precision just doesn't have that classic Mike prog growl even with a fuzz pedal in the chain.
